  • CIA California Counseling and Psychological Support (CAPS)

    The Counseling and Psychological Support (CAPS) office provides confidential personal counseling to CIA students, free of charge. Services include:

    • Individual counseling or talk therapy;
    • Crisis intervention, support, and educational programs; and
    • Referrals to specialized services off-campus, with coordination of care.

    Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. when classes are in session (closed during summer and winter breaks)

    • Homesickness
    • Relationship matters
    • Building coping skills
    • Improving self-confidence

    • Depression

    Confidentiality and Trust

    CIA therapists abide by California laws and professional ethics to ensure that students personal information is protected. CAPS visits are not part of a students academic record.
